Lift-rite Engineering Services has just completed a series of umbilical assembly installation tests on components destined for installation off the coast of Africa.

Lift-rite were initially approached to design and build a test arrangement that could hold a replica of the already installed I tube and allow the planned installation forces to be replicated at various angles whilst the sample umbilical assembly was pulled through. The final test arrangement was over 13m high and allowed pull through forces of up to 60te whilst maintaining a constant back tension of up to 33te on the umbilical assembly.

News 2 DraxLift-rite Engineering Services has completed the design, manufacture and test of a unique transport frame for steam turbine rotors.

The transport frame was carefully designed to alleviate some of the historical problems encountered when transporting these multi million pound assets. Key design features include a fully retractable cover, integrated folding access steps, integrated lift points, hydraulic end stops with integrated pump & adjustable position support journals.

Lift-rite Engineering Services has completed the design, manufacture and test of frame to house two lengths of wire rope when transported by air. The project, from concept to delivery, was completed in less than 4 weeks and is worthy of note because of its sheer size – the frame was over 18m long, weighed over 5,000kg and had capacity to support 2 off 3,000kg wire rope samples. To ease handling operations Lift-rite’s Engineering Team integrated fork lift pockets and lift points into the design.

News 5 Clump WeightLift-rite Engineering Services has completed the design, manufacture and test of a 200te SWL test weight cradle which has now been added to our extensive fleet of cradles and test weights available for hire.

The 200te SWL cradle can be lifted by either 4 corner lift points or by a single central lift point and has integrated tugger pad eyes to assist positioning. It is designed to utilise Lift-rites 4te test weights and can be configured to any weight between 16te and 200te.

The 200te SWL cradle has just returned after successfully completing its first hire where it was used subsea to tether a buoy during an umbilical installation project.
