News 5 Clump WeightLift-rite Engineering Services has completed the design, manufacture and test of a 200te SWL test weight cradle which has now been added to our extensive fleet of cradles and test weights available for hire.

The 200te SWL cradle can be lifted by either 4 corner lift points or by a single central lift point and has integrated tugger pad eyes to assist positioning. It is designed to utilise Lift-rites 4te test weights and can be configured to any weight between 16te and 200te.

The 200te SWL cradle has just returned after successfully completing its first hire where it was used subsea to tether a buoy during an umbilical installation project.

Lift-rite Engineering Services has completed the design, manufacture and test of a set of 3 off 190te SWL lifting beams for lifting empty and full reels off and onshore. The beams were designed to the Customers own standards with all the design and structural analysis completed by Lift-rites own in house Engineering Team.

Lift Rite St James Park3Lift-rite engineering services have installed the flags at St James’ Park ahead of the first rugby world cup match to be held the stadium.

St James’ Park with a capacity of 52,409 hosted its first match in 1880. St James’ Park is the oldest football stadium in the North East of England.

The first 2015 rugby world cup match hosted at St James’ Park was South Africa Vs Scotland on Saturday 3rd October.

Lift-rite manufactured the flag frames and carried out the installation with our experienced rigging team.

Lift-rite engineering services apprentice Scott Hale has graduated at Northumberland College after his 4 years apprenticeship in advanced engineering.

Lift-rite managing director Graeme Robson said

“Scott joined the company at 17 years of age and has worked extremely hard to complete his apprenticeship and has developed into an excellent engineer who Lift-rite are extremely proud of”

Lift-rite have recently taken on another apprentice, Kieran Geach who has completed his first year off the job training at Rolls Royce training school and North Tyneside College.

Lift-rite engineering services have recently completed the loading of an Ampelmann gangway system.

The gangway weighing 106 tonnes was lifted by Lift-rite’s specialist rigging team and work was completed safely and on schedule.

Lift Rite Engineering Services has completed its latest project, the lifting of three 180 tonne reels. Lift Rite, a specialist provider of lifting equipment, fall protection systems and on site rigging and testing services, completed the lift using riggers and a lifting beam designed by Lift Rite and Lift Rite supplied ultra light Dyneema round slings. The reels were then lifted and loaded on time and to our clients specifications and requirements.

Graeme Robson, managing director at Lift Rite said ‘due to the size and weight of the reels, this was an especially challenging logistical operation. But due to our experience, readily available specialized equipment and thorough planning, we were able to complete the task with relative ease and on time.’

Lift-rite engineering services has completed statutory inspections of Davits at Teesside Offshore Wind Farm. Utilising our offshore trained and qualified engineers, Lift-rite completed the inspection programme on the 27 turbines in the field.

Lift-rite has many years of experience in this sector through previous projects undertaken at Greater Gabbard, Galloper and Gwynt y mor offshore wind farms.
