Lift-Rite Strengthens Safety Expertise with 3M Anchor Line Installation Training

Investment in Our Training
At Lift-Rite, safety and professionalism are core features of everything we do. That’s why very recently our team completed both refresher and first-time training programmes with 3M UK, focused on anchor line installation and other working-at-height activities. This is yet another example of our commitment to ensuring our staff are among the most highly qualified in the industry.
What the Training Covered
The training, delivered by 3M’s fall protection specialists, included both classroom-based learning and a component of practical, hands-on work. The focus was on essential working-at-height skills:
- Ensuring anchor lines are installed with appropriate tension, to meet industry standards for safety and performance.
- Correct use and inspection of anchor points, including selecting the right anchor devices, assessing the structure to be mounted on, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards (such as EN 795).
- Proper harness systems: choosing correct full body harnesses, making safe and secure connections using appropriate connectors, lanyards, self-retracting lifelines or other PPE as required.
- Other related working-at-height considerations including inspections, regular checks, safe systems of work, fall arrest vs fall restraint and safe tie-offs.
Importantly, 3M’s anchor-line installation training is restricted, with only approved installers being able to access it. That ensures a high baseline of competence, and guarantees all participants meet minimum prerequisites in safety and medical fitness.
Why This Matters
- Reinforced Safety Culture
Doing this training reinforces Lift-Rite’s safety culture. It’s one thing to talk about “safety first”, but investing in regular, up-to-date accredited training ensures everyone knows what current best practices are. - High Qualification Standards
Because 3M’s training requires approved status, Lift-Rite’s technicians and installers are being certified or re-certified to rigorous standards. This gives clients complete confidence in our qualifications, competence and up-to-date knowledge. - Reduced Risk & Liability
Work at height is one of the most hazardous areas in many of Lift-Rite’s operations. By making sure anchor points are properly installed, tensioned, and inspected; that connections are correct and that PPE is used properly, we protect our people, the public and our customers. - Operational Credibility for High-Profile Clients
Lift-Rite works with some of the largest crane companies, major event operators, offshore and heavy industry clients. These organisations demand not just hardware, but proof of competence together with safety and training credentials. Investment in our training means we are fully entrusted with critical anchor-line installations in complex, safety-sensitive environments.
What This Means for Our Clients
For clients who engage Lift-Rite for projects where working at height is involved, this training translates into tangible benefits:
- Confidence in compliance: installations will meet required safety standards and regulations; correct anchor line tension, harness usage, and rescue readiness will be in place.
- Reduced downtime and safer operations: well-installed anchor lines and proper harness setups reduce the chance of failure or accidents that might cause shutdown.
- Assured quality: because our teams have been trained by appropriate and respected industry experts who hold approved status.
- Better risk management: clients can rely on Lift-Rite not only to provide equipment, but to ensure installation and connection systems are safe and detailed.
Summary
Lift-Rite’s commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence ensures our teams remain among the most highly qualified in the industry, capable of working safely and professionally with event operators, crane companies, offshore clients and others who depend on rigorously safe anchor line systems.
